Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains when fees paid to Global IAS Academy can be refunded or adjusted. It applies to all classroom, online, app-based, test-series, mentorship and study-material programmes and should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

1General policy

• Fees paid to Global IAS Academy are non-refundable and non-transferable once admission is confirmed, except in the specific cases listed under “When a refund is given” below.
• Registration, application and admission fees are non-refundable in all cases.
• Please attend a free counselling session or demo class and read our Terms & Conditions before paying.

2Online, app and recorded courses

Digital courses – live online classes, recorded video lectures, mobile/web app access, online test series and e-books – are considered fully delivered once access is activated, because digital content can be accessed, copied or downloaded immediately. No refund or readjustment is offered after activation.

3Study material and books

Printed books and study material are considered sold and fully delivered on the day they are handed over or dispatched. No refund, return or readjustment is offered for delivered material, except replacement of a misprinted or damaged copy reported within 7 days.

4Exam changes, postponement or cancellation

Changes in exam rules, syllabus, pattern or dates, or postponement or cancellation of an examination by UPSC, KPSC, KEA or any other authority, are beyond our control. Fees are not refunded or readjusted for such reasons; classes and guidance continue as per the course plan.

5When a refund is given

A refund is provided only in these cases:

• Duplicate or excess payment – the extra amount paid by mistake is refunded in full.
• Failed transaction – if money is debited but the payment is not received by the academy or admission is not confirmed, the amount is refunded (or reversed by your bank).
• Batch cancelled by the academy – if we cancel a batch before it starts and you do not wish to join an alternative batch or mode offered to you, the fee paid for that batch is refunded.

6Batch, mode or branch transfer

Requests to shift to another batch, mode (classroom / online) or branch may be considered at the academy’s discretion, subject to seat availability and payment of any fee difference. A transfer is not a refund, and fees cannot be transferred to another person.

7Discontinuing a course

If a student stops attending, discontinues the course or is unable to continue for personal reasons, fees already paid are not refunded. Pending instalments remain payable as per the admission terms unless waived in writing by the academy.

8How to request a refund

• Email info@globaliasacademy.com (or WhatsApp +91 99640 13666) within 7 days of the transaction with: student name, registered mobile number, course, payment date, amount, receipt or transaction ID, and the reason.
• We will review and respond within 3 working days.
• Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 working days. The time taken for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your bank.
