Global IAS Academy respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit globaliasacademy.com, fill an enquiry or admission form, contact us on WhatsApp or phone, or join our courses – and how we use and protect it.

1Who we are

This website, globaliasacademy.com, is operated by Global IAS Academy, a private coaching institute in Bengaluru offering coaching for UPSC Civil Services (IAS), KPSC KAS and other Karnataka and central government examinations, through classroom, online and app-based programmes. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Global IAS Academy.

2Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to respond to you and to deliver our courses:

• Enquiry forms and WhatsApp / phone enquiries: name, mobile and WhatsApp number, email address, qualification, city or district, course of interest, preferred mode and branch, and any message you send.
• Admission and application forms: date of birth, community category (where needed for exam eligibility guidance), educational qualifications and marks, father/guardian name, occupation and contact number, address, photograph, copies of marksheets, ID proof (Aadhaar or voter ID), degree certificate and signature.
• Payments: fee amount, receipt and transaction reference. Card, UPI and bank details are processed by banks or payment gateways; we do not store your card or UPI PIN details.
• Automatically collected data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring website and ad-click identifiers, collected through cookies and tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads.

3How we use your information

• To answer your enquiry and share course details, fees, batch timings and demo classes.
• To process admission, maintain student records, issue receipts and provide classes, study material, tests, app access and mentorship.
• To send class schedules, test results, important exam updates and academy announcements.
• To improve our website, courses and advertising, and to measure which pages and campaigns bring enquiries.
• To comply with legal, tax and accounting requirements and to prevent fraud or misuse.

4Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers who help us run the academy – for example email and form-delivery services, Google Workspace / Drive, Google Analytics and Google Ads, WhatsApp, SMS providers, payment gateways and our mobile app / learning platform provider – only to the extent needed to provide their service.
• With our own staff, faculty and branches on a need-to-know basis.
• When required by law, court order or a government authority, or to protect our rights, students or the public.

5Calls, SMS, WhatsApp and email

When you submit a form or contact us, you agree that we may contact you by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email about your enquiry and our courses. You can stop promotional messages at any time by replying “STOP” on WhatsApp/SMS or by writing to info@globaliasacademy.com. Service messages about an active course may still be sent.

6Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website working, understand how visitors use it (Google Analytics) and measure and improve our ads (Google Ads). These tools may use cookies to show our ads on other websites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Blocking cookies may affect some features of the website.

7Data retention

Enquiry details are kept for up to 3 years so we can follow up on future batches, unless you ask us to delete them earlier. Admission records, receipts and documents are kept for as long as needed to provide the course and to meet legal, tax and audit requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

8Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards – access limited to authorised staff, password-protected systems and secure (HTTPS) forms – to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9Your rights

In line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:

• access or obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
• correct or update inaccurate data;
• delete your data where it is no longer needed (subject to legal retention requirements);
• withdraw consent for marketing communication.

Send your request to info@globaliasacademy.com from your registered email or phone number. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

10Students under 18

Some of our programmes may be joined by students below 18 years of age. For such students, enquiries and admission should be made with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, whose details we collect in the admission form.

11Third-party links

Our website may link to official websites (such as UPSC, KPSC or KEA), app stores, YouTube or payment pages. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. Please read their policies.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
